May 8 (TheLedger) - Foreign Minister Galagama met her Indian counterpart in New Delhi on Tuesday for a fourth round of talks on the long-stalled fisheries agreement covering the Palk Strait.

The two governments confirmed they are "close to text" on a draft that would establish a joint patrol mechanism, a clearly demarcated buffer zone, and a compensation framework for boats and gear damaged in disputed waters.
